BCM WEEKLY MEETINGS 9/3/10

CHURCH TNT -Free dinner will be provided from 7:00 to 7:45p.m. for those attending TNT at 8:00 p.m. Josh Causey, pastor of The Ring Community Church, will be the speaker tomorrow night, September 2nd and representatives from our area collegiate churches will have information about their church available.

International Dinner is held each Monday at 5:00 p.m. Please invite International students, American students are invited to help with this dinner.

Monday Lunch:  11:40 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. free lunch followed by a devotional.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Tiger Game:  All BCM students are invited to watch the LSU versus North Carolina game at the home of Steve and Pam Masters. Food and drinks will be provided. The kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. Participants are invited to hangout/fish/etc. from 5:30 to game time. Their address is 10558 Whittington Road, Denham Spring, Louisiana 70726.

Freshmen Retreat: All freshmen are invited to attend the annual BCM Freshmen Retreat which will be held on Friday night, September 17th at Jasmine Hill in Centreville, Mississippi (which is one hour north of Baton Rouge.) The retreat will include dinner, games, share groups, prayer, a bonfire and a worship service. The group will return to Baton Rouge by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The cost is $10.00. Sign up by email or on the Ministry Bulletin Board.

BCM MINISTRIES/FELLOWSHIPS

Freshmen Council: Meets from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday nights in the Lodge Room.

Freshmen Family Groups: We invite and encourage all BCM students to participate in an FFG. Check out the bulletin board in the hall next to the worship center for topics, days and times. Check out the website for times and locations.

Tiger Survey Information Cards:  All LSU and BRCC students attending the BCM are asked to fill out an information card to update your information. These can be secured at the Information Table in the Lodge Room.

Upperclassmen Discipleship Groups:  The BCM is sponsoring 14 different Discipleship Groups for upperclassmen. We invite all upperclassmen to join a group. The times and locations are posted on the Bible Study board, the digital bulletin board and the website.

Serve.Now:  Tomorrow night after TNT, anyone interested in helping with community ministries in Baton Rouge is encouraged to come to a brief meeting. Children's ministry, youth ministry, and a variety of other types will be discussed. Also.

 The BCM Community Ministries team invites you to join us for a Baton Rouge plunge weekend. You may participate in one or more different projects Thursday-Saturday, September 9-11. Contact Sarah at sland35@tigers.lsu.edu if you are interested.

Disaster Relief Chainsaw Team: The BCM is putting together our 2010-2011 Disaster Relief Team. If you would like to be a part of this team then email Steve Masters at lsubcm@eatel.net or sign up on the ministry bulletin board in the Lodge.  There will be a training session from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18th. Participants that don't know how will be taught to run a chainsaw.

Golf Association:  If you would like to learn to play golf or if you are a golfer that would like to play golf with other golfers then you are invited to be a part of the BCM Golf Association. Sign up by email at lsubcm@eatel.net or on the ministry bulletin board.

Fishing Association:  The BCM is going to sponsor fishing outings from time to time. If you would like to participate then sign up on the BCM ministry bulletin board or by emailing the BCM.

BCM Pool Tournament/BCM Ping Pong Tournament:  The BCM is going to sponsor a round-robin ping pong tournament and a pool tournament. If you would like to participate then sign up by email or on the BCM ministry board.

OTHER MINISTRY/EVENT OPPORTUNITIES
